Psychological dependence

22 September 2015

Psychological dependence varies among individuals and lasts longer than physical dependence because it is more complex. Related to nicotine, psychological dependence is associated with emotions; stress to anger, through concentration. Cigarette smoking is a true companion since nicotine releases dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter produced by the brain when we do the things we love. Therefore, nicotine enhances the feeling of well-being or makes you happy then. This dependence is also such that some smokers think they can not live without cigarettes.
